Unconventional

Everyone I’ve spoken to about publishing in the past few weeks have said the same thing. For new writers, do e-publishing or get a publisher. Which is by no means easy.

Publishers can do everything for you. They will help you find an illustrator. They will decide on the layout, the font, the size of the book. They will do the marketing and distribution. Just leave everything in their hands.

And at that point the little red light in my head went off. Yes, I know success rates are higher with publishers. And risks are lower with e-publishing. But I’m not looking for that. I’m looking for the thrill of entrepreneurship. And there’s a path that offers that.

Self-publishing. Not prescribed. Not controlled. Not easy. But unconventional. Yes. Creative. Yes. Daring. Yes.

Join me on this journey. I don’t know the end result, but that doesn’t matter. It’s all about the process.
